Short Post – Gratitude for Writing Fiction, NaNoWriMo, and the Opportunity to Self-Publish

I just wanted to say that I am incredibly grateful.

Over this last week, I’ve spent my mornings revising The Witch’s Uprising, a novel manuscript which I hope to publish in February 2020 via Amazon KDP.

Right now, I’m in the process of choosing covers, fine-tuning the manuscript, and outlining scenes for the sequel which I will write during NaNoWriMo 2019. If you’d like tips for NaNoWriMo, check out this article.

NaNoWriMo Plans

This year, I decided to aim for 60,000-100,000 words for NaNoWriMo. However, I’m sure I will be happy with 40,000, as long as I can make the continuity work between my previous novels and this one. The working title of November’s novel is Dagger in the North, which follows the three main characters from The Witch’s Uprising.

The sequel will differ from the first in the following ways:

NEW! Author Vlog:

With both the opportunity to self publish and NaNoWriMo in mind, I decided to keep a video log of my October writing sessions. A few of these moments ended up in the video below as a recap of my writing life in October.

Check it out:

To be honest, this is my first Youtube video, and I had a lot of fun recording and editing this. I’ve been grateful because I’m making time for a hobby that feeds my soul, and I feel like this medium helps me share other colors of this experience.

My next author vlog will come out in November and will most likely focus on NaNoWriMo.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for future videos, please leave them in the comments here, through Twitter or Instagram. Of course, you could also leave comments in the comment section of the video itself.
